Elon musk buys cryptocurrency for baby X Æ A-Xii. What you should know

Tesla founder and billionaire, Elon Musk, has announced buying an undisclosed amount of cryptocurrency for his baby, X Æ A-Xii.

The billionaire made the announcement, Wednesday evening, via his official Twitter handle, attracting tens of thousands reactions from his over 40 million followers.

According to Elon Musk, the decision to buy the little baby some Dogecoin was to make him a “toddler hodler.”

The tweet reads: “Bought some Dogecoin for lil X, so he can be a toddler hodler.”

What you should know:

  • Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency invented by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer.
  • Like Bitcoin, Dogecoin was invented to create a payment system that is instant, fun, and free from traditional banking fees.
  • The coin features the face of the Shiba Inu dog from the “Doge” meme as its logo and namesake.
  • X Æ A-Xii, Elon Musk’s baby, as at the time of press, is only nine month old.
  • X Æ A-Xii is pronounced: “X Ash A-12”.
  • Hodl is a slang in the cryptocurrency community for holding the cryptocurrency rather than selling it -a person who does this is known as a Hodler.
