Nigerian-born economist and international development expert, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has expressed gratitude to world leaders who supported her on the journey to becoming the next Director General (DG) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
The economist, via her official Twitter handle (@NOIweala) appreciated efforts of these leaders, noting that she looked forward to finalising the process.
This comes on the heels of her securing the support of the U.S. on Friday, February 5, 2021, on her ambition to become the Director-General of the WTO.
Ngozi Iweala currently sits on the Boards of Standard Chartered Bank, Twitter, Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), and the African Risk Capacity (ARC).
