FG launches portal for e-registration of covid-19 vaccination

The federal government of Nigeria has launched a new electronic portal to register citizens for Covid-19 vaccination.

This facility, which is a database portal, comes as part of preparatory processes as the country looks to take delivery of some doses of the jab.

According to press, Nigeria is scheduled to receive the first batch of 3.92m doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday from COVAX.

Press further noted that the e-registration would be done via the portal of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).

In a tweet from the government’s handle, the FG urged Nigerians to get registered through the portal.

The tweet reads: “Please visit the website http://nphcda.gov.ng and click on ‘COVID-19 Vaccination e-registration’ to register for #COVID19 vaccination.”

Nigerians, reacting to the development, have, however, called on the president and other political office holders to come out on live TV to get vaccinated.
