Lagos-based cartoonist and Instagram sensational illustrator, Kayode Raymond, said he was brought to tears drawing the trending farewell image of Sound Sultan.
The art illustrator and designer disclosed this on Monday during an interview with Quillcastle Nigeria.
According to Kayode, the music artist’s demise comes as a rude shock.
He said: “I cried while drawing it. I was pained deeply into my bone marrow.”
Further expressing sadness, Kayode affirms the transient nature of life, positing that: “Tomorrow isn’t promised for everyone.”
The farewell image has been repeatedly used by many fans of the deceased who took to social media to send their tributes.
Some of the persons who used the image included poets, singers and social media influences.
