Poem on faith: Good Deed by Jahangeer Ahmad bhat

Allah’s pleasure, for you to earn
Do good, but think no return.

Good is free, and trapped in you
Do indulge, kill pride in you.

And like legends, hide your good deeds
Just so as though you hide misdeeds.

The good you do returns to you
Unexpected, taking lots of days.

The bad you do will stay with you
Scorpion stings and pains array.

Unilateral Quranic moral food:
Exchange bad with contant good.

For every good deed is a charity
With might as great to annul calamity.

Material things will remain here
But good deeds will transit there.

All in all, please also know
That good deeds are not keys to Jannah
Cos man’s entry as I know
Is only and only by the grace of Allah.
