Patience as a therapy helped my anger issue – Actress Juliet Jatto

The Nollywood Movie Industry is a fast growing industry, which as produced several young fast rising actors. A search light was beamed on one of the fast rising actors, Juliet Jatto she reveals some interesting facts about herself in a chit chat.

Juliet Jatto, a fast rising actress hails from Agbor Delta State. She is the first child of three. Her parents, her still well and alive. She obtained her National Diploma form Ogun State Institute of Technology and BSc. from University of Lagos.

According to her, “I never knew I would be an actor, I tried modeling first and I got some jobs and rejections mostly because of my height. Along the line with some of my friends, we started going to movie auditions. After a while, I was introduced to a guy named bayonle (Sidobo), through him I joined odunfa caucus and I found myself acting till date”.

Furthermore, my acting passion grew as I keep getting more roles and reading scripts. My delivery depends on what a director or producer wants. Some of my acting creativity comes with the script and sometimes the directors want me to come up with your own side of acting too.

Based on my interaction with colleagues in the industry, I have learnt a lot which has added to my skills and improvement over the years with several challenges as well. My major challenge in my acting career and it’s still apparent is my stuttering (I’ve been a stammerer) so it’s something that can’t go and the only solution to it is being patient.

Applying patience as a therapy has given me lots of chances too, because I was someone who gets angry at any little thing and ready to bring hell down. But with doctor’s advice I had to apply patience in everything I do. If someone gets me angry I will laugh and walk away to avoid getting angry.

The Nollywood industry is a wide industry where you meet people with several attitudes and different character. So one has to learn, unlearn, and relearn to grow. I had to leave the industry for some years due to some reasons and I came back four years after. Since I came back fully, I have featured in several movies and worked with several directors and actors.

I have produced few movies; Legal wife and Perfect alibi. I have also featured in several movies lately; Jangbajantis Directed by Abiodun Jimoh in memory of Late Sound Sultan, Gbelepawo directed by Kayode Alubarika, Aimo Directed by Adebayo Tijani, Most Wanted, Abawon, Isopo Emi by Abbey Lanre, Isura directed by Seun Olaiya, Agbekoya by Titi Jeje, Premium Babes, Sunday Jatto Directed by Afeez Owo and many other movies.

I am an energetic actor and I look unto Tariji P. Henson, Kate henshaw, Funke Akindele, Genevieve Nnaji who have successfully paved way for we young actors.
