Ogbomoso-based children school, Relics Kiddies, stages drama on Prophet Sulaiman and Queen Bilqis encounter

Relics Kiddies, a children school based in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Wednesday, staged a drama on the encounter of Prophet Sulaiman and Queen of Sheba, Bilqis.

The drama, which was streamed live on Facebook, had its plot guided by the narration of Al-Qur’an, the Muslim’s Holy Book.

The drama featured about 20 pupils who participated in the re-production of the historical piece.

The first scene opened to a young girl who presented the prologue, establishing the context and giving background details of the drama.

A young male pupil of average height played the role of Sulaimān, prophet and third king of the Jewish people.

The 13 minute drama, deploying limited resources, established the story as it infuses dialogue, old customs and traditions to deliver the storyline on how the intelligent Queen Sheba, Bilqis, accepted Islam in the hand of Prophet Sulaiman whilst going on to enjoin her people to follow suit.
